In this Esoteric Teaching, which is the solution to all suffering, there are three stages of advancement. Sometimes they are called the three circles of the teaching.
People in the first stage are trying to attain a perfect body by the method of association. Most of the people reading this blog are in this neophyte stage. The process of the Esoteric Teaching at this stage is to convince you that the method of association will not help you, because that is not the right way to attain a perfect body.
People in the second stage of the Teaching are called Initiates. They have understood the fact that the method of association will not help them attain a perfect body, and they are learning the method of ontological adjustment, that really does help you attain a perfect body.
People in the third stage of the Teaching have understood the process of ontological adjustment, and are busy applying it so that they can attain a perfect body. These are called Masters or, if they decide to teach, Master Teachers. I am a Master Teacher of the Esoteric Teaching.
The business of the Master Teachers is to help the Initiates apply the Teaching. They also work to convince the neophytes that they are on the wrong path, so they can find the real path that leads to complete mitigation of their suffering.
The cause of all suffering is association of the spiritual living entity with matter, especially the material body and mind. The material senses drag the living entity into activities of sense gratification that produce unintended karmic reactions. This is the root of unwanted suffering.
For example, everyone likes to eat palatable food. But eating non-vegetarian food involves killing animals, which produces severe karmic reactions as a byproduct. So by trying to enjoy the senses, one unintentionally creates suffering for oneself in the future.
The key to escaping the trap of karmic reaction is to perform all activities as a spiritual service to God. To again take eating as an example, first of all one must become a pure vegetarian and avoid all food that involves killing animals. Then one should prepare tasty vegetarian dishes using pure grains, vegetables, spices and milk products, and offer them to God with love and devotion before eating in moderation.
This will halt all karmic reactions due to eating. Similarly, there are methods for engaging the other senses in spiritual service, so that all karmic reactions are stopped. This practice is called karma-yoga, and it is the beginning of the process of the Esoteric Teaching.
The Vedic scripture Bhagavad-gita discusses all kinds of yoga methods: karma-yoga, jnana-yoga, buddhi-yoga, astanga-yoga and bhakti-yoga. But out of all these yoga methods, it recommends bhakti-yoga, the practice of devotion, above all others.
Yoga means linking the soul with the Supersoul, or the individual living being with God. Bhakti-yoga is the best yoga practice, because anyone can perform it at any time, and there are no material qualifications or impediments.
The Esoteric Teaching is a very advanced and powerful school of bhakti-yoga. It is many thousands of years old, much older than any other religion or spiritual culture on earth. It has survived and spread all over the planet because of its powerful teachings and advanced methods.
By practicing the Esoteric Teaching, you gain the benefits of a method that has been perfected over thousands of years of practice. It is passed down from the ancient wise Master Teachers using sophisticated error-correction protocols to prevent change or dilution. Practicing its methods can help you attain a perfect embodiment.
Actually, our perfect body already exists, because it is eternal and spiritual. We only have to cleanse our hearts and minds of material contamination to discover it.
